When I read about those who have walked the Camino Santiago, many of the stories involve meeting other "pilgrims" also known as pergrinos, and swapping stories and walking together for a bit of time, or for days. What I didn't anticipate on my hometown adventure, is this would happen right here!
Today's photo is courtesy of my longtime friend, Bill. We met up this morning on a quiet road, he was biking, I was hiking, and we took a moment to catch up on how our families are faring. Our kids went to a small neighborhood school together, growing up together, today's random encounter was a small blessing in a time of tumult and uncertainty.
On my walks, I am seeing many new neighbors, dear friends of many decades, I have caught up on all the real news, who is where, how children and grandchildren are so missed, what we are all planting this spring, picked up and dropped off needed items.
As they say on the Camino, Buen Camino !
