A mantra is defined as a sacred verbal formula repeated in prayer, meditation, or incantation, such as an invocation of a god, a magic spell, or a syllable or portion of scripture containing mystical potentialities.
Often we begin or end a yoga class with a chanted mantra, and, bringing the sacred into our practice. What if, just for today, we consider thank you as our mantra? Thank you for a small thing, a large thing, or the simple reality that today is another chance for each of us to live, breathe, learn, love, help, need help, smile, cry.....
Perhaps your car started today, or a co-worker greeted you warmly, or the sun was shining, even much needed rain was falling, find a path to awareness of the miracles that surround us.
Don't over think this, find something in your world, and take a moment to create your own mantra of gratitude, thank you.
