It is springtime, and the wildflowers are abundant, the more I walk the more I see, not only because I am outside more than usual, but, also because I am moving at a different pace.
This trek is about miles, yes, but more about slowing down my brain, my thoughts, my life. Every walk, like most meditations, takes some time to settle into, and somewhere in the day's journey, a deep breath comes, my head clears, and I become present in the moment. That is when I see more, I am in my body, with my senses, seeing , hearing, smelling more acutely. This awareness lasts for moments, minutes, hours, can leave or return, and being able to accept the peace this brings, without clinging to it is part of my growth.
